One Millimeter At A Time.

One Millimeter At A Time.

The longer you move through any one thing, you realize instant results or better yet instant success isn’t realistic.

We are constantly shown imagery that success is right there, you just need to grab it.
That compelling audiobook tells you that the only thing between you and what you want…is you. Well, that’s true, but it doesn’t come that easy.

We would like it to though. We dream of our plans being flawless and our efforts being wildly rewarded. We all feel like THOR and IRONMAN when we are mapping our course. If I just muscle up and go….it will all be mine.

Ok, join me back at here at this planet. It’s raining outside, you have a long list of things to do and the dishes need to be done.
Ahhhhh. Life returns.

I started Restoration Advisers coming right into 12 months in April. I had a solid plan. I thought I knew EXACTLY how I would solve problems and acheive my posted goals.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s been a good year, just not the one I mapped.
Life has a cruel yet inspirational way of laughing at you, yet, at the same time, make you realize you know little about what OTHERS want and need. You mistakingly assume that everyone must surely want what you have or can offer. Right?

Again….life snickers annoyingly.

Here are the things written on a board, in my office for me to read daily:

  • Be Kind
  • Do not overthink
  • Help another
  • Fix your mistakes today if you can. DO not carry over
  • Speak less, listen more
  • Try something new
  • Assume as little as possible
  • Improve one thing minimum
  • Find balance in as much as you can.

Regardless of the final results, I am not overly afraid to fail. I am trying. I would be more afraid if I weren’t trying. One step at a time.

What compelled me to write this this evening?

I received my new business cards. Nice front and back for both of my companies. Clever. I like them much better than my last set….
But I saw another card earlier today…that I like more.NEXT TIME. NEXT MILLIMETER.

Reach out to me and let’s see what we can conquer together.
